Terms and Conditions

The following is a summary of the current direct-booking terms for Casa del Alma, Casa Mar y Sol and El Nido in Nicaragua. Review the property-specific quote, cancellation policy and rental agreement provided through Lodgify for your reservation. This page is not a substitute for your reservation documents.

Booking and payment

Casa del Alma and Casa Mar y Sol accept booking requests. El Nido accepts instant bookings. The currently assigned direct-booking policies require 50% of the reservation total at booking and the remaining balance seven days before arrival.

Cancellation

Under these policies, 50% of paid prepayments is refundable when a reservation is cancelled seven days before arrival or earlier. After that, paid prepayments are non-refundable. Read the cancellation policy for an example and contact details.

Channel-specific policies are also configured in Lodgify. For reservations made through another booking platform, check the cancellation and payment terms attached to that reservation. For any separately quoted long-term stay, review its specific quote and agreement.

Security deposits

For Casa del Alma and Casa Mar y Sol, the currently assigned policy provides for a US$500 pre-authorization one day before arrival, voided two days after departure. El Nido’s currently assigned nightly policy has no security deposit. Review the requirements displayed for your selected reservation.

Electricity-use agreements

The current Lodgify rental agreements include daily electricity allowances of 55 kWh for Casa del Alma, 35 kWh for Casa Mar y Sol, and 55 kWh for El Nido. The total included allowance is the daily allowance multiplied by the number of booked days.

A Driftwood representative photographs the meter at arrival and departure. Consumption above the total included allowance is charged at US$0.50 per additional kWh, documented and invoiced after the final meter calculation. Guests may request the readings and calculation supporting an excess-use invoice.

The agreements ask guests to use air conditioning only in occupied bedrooms, with bedroom doors and windows closed while the unit is operating.

Arrival and departure

Check-in is from 3:00 PM and checkout is by 11:00 AM unless a different time has been approved in writing.
